Social Studies 8A  - Began ch. 7.  Reviewed pages 224-225, and reviewed maps.  Students ae to read pages 228-231 and answer question #1 on page 231 for next class.  "Interpreting a drawing" assignment. (Due: Wednesday, Feb. 19th)

Social Studies 8D  -  Began ch. 7.  Reviewed pages 224-225, and reviewed maps.  Students ae to read pages 228-231 and answer question #1 on page 231 for next class.  "Interpreting a drawing" assignment. (Due: Wednesday, Feb. 19th)

Social Studies 8E - Students created a title and a museum placard for a sample drawing. Worked in groups to peer edit.  Discussed qualities for Europeans and First Nations. Handed out "Interpreting a drawing assignment".  (Due: Friday, Feb. 21st.)

Social Studies 9E - No class today.  Began to discuss Refugees as immigrants p. 172-177.  Watched several videos about refugees.  Began to watch a video about Romas challenging the immigration process.

Social Studies 9G - No class today. Reviewed page 172.  Students received instruction about how to annotate notes.  Students were to read the article "The Chosen Ones - A History of Selective Immigration", and make annotations.  (Will review this next class),  Reviewed pages 172-177, and watched several videos about refugees.
