 Social Studies 9E - Reviewed the supply and demand review sheet as a class. Reviewed page 212 about competition; students completed a comparison sheet about the two doughnut shops, and evaluated which shop would be more successful.

 Social Studies 9E - Reviewed supply, demand, and price. Students completed "What If'" statements identifying supply, demand, price increases or decreases.  We reviewed the worksheet as a class.  For homework, students are to complete p. 1 of the handout about supply and demand.

Social Studies 9B -  Started to review the "What if" statements, but most students did not complete the work; instead, students took notes about Competition on page 212.  Students completed the Comparison chart for the doughnut shops, and wrote a paragraph about which doughnut shop will be successful.We will finish reviewing next class.

Social Studies 9B - Finished watching a video about how America responds to the Great Depression. Reviewed the video questions.  Students took notes about supply and demand on p. 209-210.  Watched a video about a supply and demand scenario.  For homework, students are to complete the "What if" statements showing the resultant effect for supply, demand, or price.  (identify next two events) (use page 210-211 to guide you)

Social Studies 9E -   Students completed p. 1 of the "What Creates Scarcity?" worksheet. Reviewed the terms privately owned and publicly owned.  Began to discuss "The Economic Continuum" on page 204.  Students had time to complete page 2 of the worksheet.  This should be completed for next class.

Social Studies 9E -  Reviewed scarcity on page 202.  Discussed the three basic economic questions. (p. 202). Looked at the 3 Factors of production on page 203.  The class completed the very last page of the vocabulary handout.  We reviewed the page as a class.
